Attic Ventilation & Insulation

Stop ice dams and heat damage

Overview

Attic Ventilation & Insulation done the right way

Most shingles in the valley die of heat, not weather. An attic that hits 150 degrees in July bakes the asphalt from underneath, and the same unbalanced attic melts snow unevenly in January and builds ice dams at the eave.

We measure your net free vent area, fix the intake side almost everyone ignores, and bring insulation up to code depth so the roof above it can do its job.

What's included

  • Net free vent area calculation for intake and exhaust
  • Continuous ridge vent with baffled intake at the soffit
  • Soffit vent cutting on homes with blocked intake
  • Bath and kitchen fans ducted outside, not into the attic
  • Blown-in insulation to R-49 with proper baffles
  • Attic bypass and can-light air sealing

Signs you need this

  • Ice dams and icicles along the eaves every winter
  • Upstairs rooms that will not cool in summer
  • Frost or moisture on the underside of the deck
  • Shingles aging faster on one slope than another

Common questions

Does ventilation affect my shingle warranty?+

Yes. Manufacturers require balanced ventilation, and inadequate venting is a common warranty denial.

Ridge vent or power fans?+

Passive ridge and soffit venting is quieter, has nothing to break, and usually moves more air when intake is done right.

Can you add insulation without a re-roof?+

Absolutely — it's a standalone service and one of the cheapest upgrades in the house.

Storm rolled through? We'll be on your roof, not on hold.
